Andrew Bell - Binford InsuranceHi, I'm Andrew Bell from Binford Insurance. I'd like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself and our agency.

I first started in the insurance industry as an agent for Allstate Insurance. Since that first day, my goal has been to provide the best service for the people of the greater Indianapolis area.

A few years back I started to find that representing a single insurance company was not in my, or my customers best interest. Representing a single company limited eligibility, coverage options, and price. Because of this, I chose to become an independent insurance agent, representing several insurance companies, giving myself and my customers more choices when insuring their cars, homes, and other property they might have.

Had insurance with them for a few years with no issues until I wanted to cancel the policy because I was moving out of state. They never canceled my policy and kept trying to change my card.

Tracey was extremely helpful and understanding when I was in an accident earlier this year. Currently, I have been working with Jessica regarding my homeowners and car insurance. Overall, not a bad group to work with. However, we noticed recently their response times and attention to customers doesn't seem to be what it was at the beginning. We decided to head to a different direction after using Binford the last six years.

Jessica has always been extremely responsive with any Home and/or Auto Insurance questions we have. Often within minutes of our asking a question (we are getting really spoiled with this response time as it is the case more often than not) and never longer than a business day. Jessica defines great customer service and we are so appreciative of her efforts on our behalf!

Run from this company as quickly as you can. We bought a property and utilized them for home and flood insurance. We were under the impression that our policies would continue from year to year. Shortly after we closed on the property our mortgage was transferred, which is not uncommon, and notification of the transfer was sent to Binford by us and our mortgage. Binford should have updated the information and never did. Because they did not update the information our flood insurance lapsed and we were forced into a lender placed policy.

When we received this notification we reached out to Binford and spoke to Tracey who said she would update the contact information for the bank and "take care of" getting the flood policy information to our mortgage so that their forced policy
would be canceled. This never occurred and after several months of hassle and trying to get everything corrected, Tracey finally admitted she did not follow through and she only updated the information. Upon further check, she failed to update the bank information correctly. When we attempted to get to the bottom of everything, Tracey claimed that her, Jessica, and another person in the office all handled the file but failed to make sure one person had actually corrected the insurance and thus we had no idea that the bank's force policy continued for yet another year.

After contacting them about these issues for two years in a row, they stopped returning our phone calls and emails. We are still dealing with the short falls of this company and have transferred everything to a competent insurance company since Binford cannot handle straightforward tasks like updating a mortgage company's information after a transfer. Run from this company and its people as fast as you can.

Andrew was great and on top of everything very quickly for our homeowners insurance and auto. It was an easy process and really only required a few correspondences to get everything set up and good to go. Simple, quick, and easy! And he also saved me money on an auto policy where I already thought I was getting a great deal elsewhere and he topped it! Highly recommend.
